Pre/Postnatal Chat: Labour Preparation Tips.
Are you looking to network with others professionals and learn at the same time? That is what #ppnchat is all about. I’ve really enjoyed the past few chats, I’ve met new people asked questions and learnt lots too. This Twitter chat is for ANYONE who works with pregnant or postnatal women, eg Reflexologists, Fertility Experts, Massage Therapists, Baby Yoga Teachers, Physios, Chiropractors, Osteopaths – you name it! So share it around and drop in to chat with us.
Our next #ppnchat is:
- Tuesday 9 December 2014
- 2:30pm GMT (click here to calculate your timezone if you’re not in the UK/Europe)
- Hosted by myself and @ClaireMockridge
- Topic: “Labour Preparation Tips”
This is something close to my heart. As as mum to small children I’ve been through labour twice. I work with women throughout pregnancy and part of that includes preparing them for labour.
A FEW GUIDELINES…
- Every tweet you send must contain the hashtag #ppnchat (otherwise you’ll be just talking to yourself)
- There will be 6 questions on the #ppnchat which will be numbered Q1, Q2, Q3 and so on, as follows:
- Q1 – How do you physically prepare your clients for labour/motherhood?
- Q2 – What do you talk about in terms of emotionally preparing them for labour?
- Q3 – What are your top 3 favourite stretches you do with pregnant clients to help with labour preparation?
- Q4 – When do you start/stop working with pregnant clients?
- Q5 -Has anyone ever gone into labour whilst with you, or have you had any close calls?
- Q6 – Do you have any books, websites or DVDs you refer clients to for questions you can’t answer?
- When answering a question, please include ‘A1′ at the beginning, followed by your answer eg A1 Yes, I test all of my postnatal clients for abdominal separation when they come along to my fitness and Pilates classes
#ppnchat - Tweets must be fewer than 140 characters, so keep things short.
- Twitter’s tagline is ‘Join the Conversation’, so please don’t be shy!
