Classes

Prior to joining a regular class, you will need to either attend a Beginners’ Short Course, or an Induction Class depending on previous experience.

We do not take brand new beginners into a Pilates class without having seen them for an Induction or Beginners’ Course first.

An introduction to Pilates, the core muscles, breathing technique and basic exercises. Classes are purposefully kept small so there is plenty of time to ask questions and check you are getting the correct technique for the exercises.

Most suited to babies who are not yet crawling, babies can either stay in the Pilates studio with mums or hang out in the room next door with our own “Daddy Day-Care”. Come expecting a little bit of mayhem! Mums are free to pop in and out of the session if babies need a mummy cuddle or a quick feed and there is a cuppa afterwards if you fancy one. This is a relaxed class that gives mums a chance to tone up and strengthen their core muscles with babies still being present.

This is a class for those who have a higher level  of pilates. Exercies are designed to be more challenging and the pace is faster in this session. Some equipment may be used in some of these classes. This is a class to challenge you and is usually full of much laughter.

Pilates can help you through your pregnancy, strengthening your core so keeping those tummy muscles firmer for longer and helping with pelvic floor as well as back problems and balance. I personally found Pilates helped me enormously in my pregnancy, kept away most aches and pains and kept me strong. These classes help prepare you for birth using breathing and relaxation as well as strengthening the muscles you will need afterwards.

This runs regularly throughout the year and is the best place to start with Pilates and learn the basics at a slower pace with lots of support and guidance, please enquire about the next course.

PRE-PRIMARY BALLET:

Wednesdays 16:00-16:45hrs, £4.00 per class, (with Chrissy) paid half termly. Booking Essential.

This class is perfect for Reception/Year 1 students. A great way for allowing you child to meet other children. They will grow with even more confidence.
Run by Chrissy our resident ballet teacher.
